Golf Transportation Planned Around Your Day

A tee time, airport arrival, hosted round, tournament dinner and return trip each create a different transportation plan. DC Black Cars arranges private rides for individual players and small groups, as well as coordinated movements for member-guest weekends, charity tournaments, corporate outings and visiting golf parties.

Service can connect a residence or hotel with a golf course, private club, resort, dining reservation, airport or FBO. Golfers visiting the region may request a single transfer, several itinerary legs, or a defined service window around their event. A tournament planner may coordinate guest waves, sponsor hospitality, an awards dinner and airport departures through one transportation contact.

Club membership, tee times, guest sponsorship, tournament registration and course access remain with the golfer, member or event host. The host should confirm the permitted entrance, passenger drop-off and return meeting point before travel. A reservation does not grant access or staging privileges.

Common Golf Trips

  • Home or hotel to a confirmed course entrance
  • Airport or FBO arrivals for visiting players
  • Member-guest and family golf weekends
  • Corporate outings, client hospitality and sponsor groups
  • Charity tournaments and awards dinners
  • Course, hotel and restaurant movements over several days

Choose a Vehicle for Players and Golf Bags

Golf bags take meaningful cargo space, especially when golfers also carry suitcases, garment bags or event materials. Share the number of passengers, full-size bags, luggage and any other equipment before a vehicle is assigned. A sedan or SUV may be appropriate for a limited party and load; a Sprinter, minibus or motorcoach may be considered for larger groups when the exact configuration, capacity and loading access fit the trip.

Passenger seating and cargo capacity are separate constraints. The vehicle model and interior layout can change available bag space, and bags may not be placed in passenger seating. DC Black Cars reviews the actual manifest and assigned vehicle rather than promising a fit from a generic seat count. Oversized or unusual equipment should be identified in advance.

For a club event, include the vehicle size restrictions and where bags should be unloaded. The club determines whether vehicles may use a bag drop, service drive, valet lane or nearby meeting point. If groups arrive at different times, assign each wave its own pickup and course contact.

Tell Us Before Booking

  • Players, golf bags and luggage per vehicle
  • Tee time or fixed event arrival
  • Club’s approved passenger entrance
  • Drop-off, bag-drop and post-round pickup point
  • Waiting window, return time or onward stop
  • Named host and day-of contact

Airport Transfers, Tournaments and Multi-Day Itineraries

Visiting golfers may need an airport pickup followed by a hotel check-in, course arrival, dinner and next-day departure. Provide the operating airline and flight number for commercial arrivals, or the confirmed airport and FBO details for private aviation, plus each traveler’s mobile number, luggage and golf-bag count. Flight monitoring supports dispatch; travelers or coordinators should report a cancellation, diversion, rebooking or changed flight number directly.

Airport arrivals include a 30-minute grace period, except at FBOs. FBO waiting terms are confirmed separately; no grace period applies to FBO pickups.

Corporate hosts and event planners should send a current guest manifest, hotel list, tee-time schedule, planned pickup waves, destination order and the person authorized to approve changes. If the round may finish at different times or some guests will leave early, separate the rides so one delayed group does not disrupt the others. For multi-day trips, list each date and overnight location separately.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you transport golfers and their clubs to a course?

Yes. Include the number of travelers, full-size golf bags, other luggage, and any additional equipment. The vehicle must be selected from the usable passenger and cargo capacity of the specific assigned vehicle; a seat count alone does not confirm that the golf bags will fit.

Can you arrange a ride from DCA, IAD, BWI, or an FBO to a golf club?

Airport-to-course and airport-to-hotel itineraries may be requested across DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Provide the operating flight or confirmed FBO, traveler contact, bag count, authorized meeting point, club entrance, and required arrival. Airport arrivals include a 30-minute grace period, except at FBOs. FBO waiting terms are confirmed separately; no grace period applies to FBO pickups.

Can a club or event organizer coordinate a tournament shuttle?

A club, sponsor, planner, or authorized host may request transfers or a scheduled group movement. The proposal depends on guest waves, pickup locations, passenger and bag counts, timing, loading points, vehicle availability, and club approval. Admission, credentials, staging, parking, and access remain under the club or event organizer’s control.

Can we reserve a vehicle to wait during a round?

A defined hourly or retained service window may be requested, subject to availability, the approved waiting location, and confirmed operating terms. A vehicle and chauffeur are not assumed to remain available through an open-ended or delayed round.

Do you arrange tee times, club access, or golf equipment?

No. The golfer or host arranges tee times, membership or guest sponsorship, registration, caddies, carts, and equipment. DC Black Cars coordinates ground transportation to the confirmed passenger entrance and pickup point.
